Many Austin homes come equipped with traditional, tanked water heaters. These systems hold hot water at the ready, using utilities to keep it hot until you need it. The bulky tanks take up a lot of space and can be susceptible to rust and leaks. There has to be a better way.
There is! With a tankless water heater from Altruistic AC, Heating & Plumbing, you can enjoy dependable hot water without limits.
Unlike traditional methods, tankless water heater technology doesn’t rely on a supply of water on standby. These systems utilize a series of coils that heat water as it runs through the unit. This means the unit only heats water when a hot water tap is turned on. No more storing gallons of hot water on the off-chance it’s needed.
Tankless water heaters also have no limit to the amount of hot water they can deliver. Depending on the model, a tanked water heater can hold 20-80 gallons of water. Once that hot water is emptied from the tank, the system has to fill the tank and heat a new batch of water.
Not with a tankless system. Imagine it: hot water on demand, day after day.
When deciding between a tanked water heater and a tankless model, it’s essential to consider factors like energy efficiency, space utilization and continuous hot water supply.
Traditional tanked heaters store and heat a large volume of water, maintaining a steady reservoir for immediate use. However, they constantly have to heat to keep the tank warm — this uses a lot of energy!
On the other hand, tankless models heat water on demand. Water is only heated when you turn the tap or shower head on. This reduces the energy required and can have significant effects on the availability of hot water in your home. The small, compact design of the unit also helps save space in your home. The choice depends on your household’s hot water needs, available space and preference for energy-efficient solutions.
Consult with Altruistic AC, Heating & Plumbing to explore the best option for your home.
A tankless water heater is a long-term investment that offers an impressive lifespan — typically lasting over 20 years with proper care. However, even the best units will eventually require replacement. If you’re noticing decreased efficiency, frequent repairs or an inconsistent hot water supply, it may be time to consider upgrading your unit.
At Altruistic AC, we specialize in replacing old or failing tankless systems with modern, energy-efficient models that provide reliable hot water on demand. Our team ensures a seamless installation process, from removing your old unit to precisely installing and calibrating the new one for optimal performance. Extend the life of your hot water system with Altruistic AC’s expert installation and replacement services, designed to keep your home comfortable and efficient.
To keep your tankless water heater operating at peak performance, regular maintenance is essential. Over time, mineral buildup and wear can impact efficiency and reduce your unit’s lifespan. Altruistic AC offers thorough tankless water heater maintenance and repair services to address issues like scaling, irregular water temperatures, or low pressure. Our skilled technicians are equipped to tackle problems big or small, ensuring your water heater continues running smoothly. With our preventative care and responsive repair services, you can enjoy hot water year-round without interruption.
Embracing a tankless water heater is more than a modern upgrade — it’s a step toward increased efficiency and convenience. By eliminating the need for a storage tank, tankless models provide hot water on demand, reducing energy consumption and taking up less space.
The initial investment in a tankless system can be outweighed by long-term energy savings and the convenience of never running out of hot water. At Altruistic AC, Heating & Plumbing, we understand the dynamics of these systems and can guide you in making a decision that aligns with your household’s needs.
EXCELLENT Based on 816 reviews Posted on Google Matthew MarinariTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. So glad I called Altruistic AC. Ramon came by after hours and was able to fix my AC straight away. I really didn’t think it would be repaired this evening. Now I’ll be able to sleep!Posted on Google Chuck ATrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We actually had two AC systems installed by Altruistic this summer. They did a great job for a reasonable price both times. First our home’s AC system self-destructed at the end of July, just in time for the hottest months. Luckily, we found Altruistic AC by word-of-mouth. We didn’t want a company that spent a lot on advertising, was part of a big chain or owned by private equity profiteers. We got 3 bids. Altruistic was the lowest. We discussed the replacement project with Michael several times. He was informative, but never pushy, and was upfront about costs. No hidden charges. Simply put, Michael was honest, friendly and great to work with. We looked at several brands, and settled on American Standard (made by Trane). Altruistic sent their installation crew on the day promised. All of them were friendly and polite. Bayron, Mario and Juan were especially helpful. They had to haul the air handler up the stairs and install it in a cramped, hot attic closet. I was afraid it wasn’t going to fit, but they got it all in there. They did have to fabricate a smaller overflow pan to fit in the limited space. But they got everything installed, connected, insulated, sealed and wired by the end of the day. Bayron showed me their work, which was all done with the highest quality, and sent me pictures. Our second Altruistic system installation was in August in a condo we own. We had already gotten a couple of other bids on replacing that 20+ year old system and Altruistic was again the lowest. More importantly, we had seen that they did excellent work. This time around, they had to use a crane to lift the condenser onto the second-floor roof. Once again, Altruistic did excellent work, and got everything cleaned up well. I’ve dealt with many different AC companies in Austin over the years, including several system replacements, but my best experience has been with Altruistic. I highly recommend them.Posted on Google Daniel AndradeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I chose these guys as I was sick of dealing with the huge heating and air places that immediately put you on hold when you call and then don’t even give you a window of time for a day. I’m done with those types. This company respected my time, accommodated my schedule and completed the work quickly and affordable. My service tech, Ramon, was GREAT! Did such efficient work. I’ll go back to this company and drop my other one. I had duct work that had to be repairedPosted on Google Nina AguileraTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
